The Alpine Penguin Con

ALPSS (Alpine Linux Persistence and Storage Summit) is a small convention of about 40 people. It’s goal is “to discuss the hot topics in Linux storage and file systems, such as persistent memory, NVMe, multi-pathing, raw or open channel flash and I/O scheduling in a cool and relaxed setting with spectacular views in the Austrian alps.” (alpss.at) I’m lucky enough to be trusted with designing the convention’s T‑shirts and small giveaways every year. The shirt motifs revolve around penguins and their storage adventures around the Limzumerhütte, where the summit takes place. I also created an emblem for “The Royal Society of Stacking Things on Top of Other Things” (a nod to Monty Python and the classic Linux stack).
